VIDEO: This little “patient” surprised whole hospital, but one little girl was very thankfull…

Nothing could prepare the emergency room staff at Arnold Palmer Hospital for the patient that came through the door one early December morning. But Christmas depended on their swift thinking and magical life-saving skills.

An Elf on the Shelf named Sam was in big trouble. A rowdy German Shepherd named Zoey had caught Sam in one of his more mischievous holiday escapades, and disaster followed.

Zoey was too rough with the little red elf…limbs were lost, holes were made, a little girl’s holiday spirit was shattered.

Luckily for the undone elf, mom is a nurse at the emergency department and knew what to do.

Sam was rushed into the operating room, tiny arm in tow. That’s where a specialized team of elf-saving specialists brought out surgical tools only used on elves, gloves, gauze and glitter.

In no time, little Sam had his little arm back. He headed home with mom and 7-year-old Aubrie, and is now resting a safe spot, far away from the family dog.
